Classification method of control relay

There are many kinds of control relays, and their classification methods are various. One of the most commonly used is based on the principle of classification of their actions: relay manufacturers

1 voltage relay: mainly used for motor loss (under) voltage protection and over-voltage protection.

2 current relay: for motor (generator) overload and short-circuit protection, generator and DC motor magnetic field control and loss of excitation protection.

3 intermediate relay: its purpose is to increase the number of control loops or expand the control signal through the intermediate conversion.

4 time relay: for AC and DC motor (generator) time control and process control procedures, etc..

5 thermal relay: used for overload protection of AC motor (generator).

6 temperature relay: mainly used for motor (generator) overheating protection or temperature control devices, etc..

7 speed relay and brake relay: for reverse braking and energy dissipation in induction motors.

8 special relay: it has many kinds, including reed relay, pulse relay, pressure relay, optical relay, etc.. They are mainly used in the automatic detection and automatic control system.
