Kind of really liking today's look...

As you cannot fail to notice (and which you might have already known if you are a fan of WR2BAM on Facebook), I had my hair cut on Friday! It feels awesome to have a hairstyle again, instead of just a grown-out mess, and it's amazing how a new cut can totally inform your entire look. I feel so much more pulled together.

I didn't have it dyed as I'm sticking with my natural color now, but it's funny how the lighter ends ended up looking like I have highlights or something.

Other aspects of today's outfit that I'm really liking: my new boots and killer two-finger cross ring. Both are from Forever 21. You might remember I featured these taupe cut-out lace-up booties back in October; I've had my eye on them for months but had a strong suspicion they'd end up going on sale. I was right -- I was able to grab them last week for $10 cheaper than they'd originally been going for. They're incredibly comfortable and look better in person than they did on the site -- they're going to be great with bare legs when it gets a little warmer, and thankfully they look good with black tights, too:

And here's the double-knuckle cross ring, which I was pretty floored by when I came across it on the Forever 21 website because it's way edgier and tougher than most of their accessories. It also came in gold and gunmetal, but I picked silver since I'm wearing mostly silver jewelry right now.

The quality is surprisingly good -- it's weighty and chunky and has yet to turn my fingers green -- and I like how it can be worn right-side-up or inverted for different messages (clearly, I go for the latter). Such an awesome find for so cheap!

Black plastic "Litchi" sunglasses: Chloé, $75, Loehmann's.
Cropped leather motorcycle jacket: H&M Divided, $20 on sale, H&M.
Black scarf: $18, Urban Outfitters.
Black blouse: $30, H&M.
Black banded-waist skirt: $10, Forever 21.
Black tights: Merona, $3.50, Target.
Taupe cut-out booties: $19 on sale, Forever 21.
Silver two-finger cross ring: $3.80, Forever 21.
Silver signet ring: Compliments of Like Beau.
Black agate ring: $6, Red Apparel, Long Beach, CA.

love this look! I bought that cross ring two weeks ago in gunmetal and the paint is already chipping off. I'm still wearing it, though, as it still looks kinda cool chipped.

I feel like such a creeper complimenting your outfit on 3 different social networking sites, but screw it. Love this outfit. ;)

Yes yes yes to your hair! It looks really good. I just had my hair cut into super super blunt bangs. I needed to escape my default pompadour for awhile.

Great ring! What nail color are you wearing? I've been looking for a muted taupe/gray for ages.

i don't think the cross ring is meant to be edgy...

No, clearly not, name. I'm familiar with F21's Christian platform. That's part of the reason I get a kick out of subverting that kind of thing. Any cross can be inverted to change the meaning, after all -- this one just happens to look especially cool to me.
