Today is my last day of work until 2010! It'll also probably be my last blog post until 2010, since I'll be on vacation starting tomorrow. Sorry for how slow it's been around here lately -- I promise once January rolls around WR2BAM will pick back up to its usual few-times-a-week posting schedule. Anyway, here's today's outfit:
I bought these sequined leggings a couple of months ago after a lot of hunting for the right ones. Originally I wanted black, but all of the affordable pairs I saw looked really cheap -- I was looking for a pair that was well-made and totally drenched in sequins, and even some of the higher-end pairs just weren't right. So when I found this gunmetal pair, I was willing to concede on the color because I was pretty much in love.
I don't know if you can tell in the above photo, but the leggings are actually constructed of two layers -- the underlayer is superfine gray mesh, and the overlayer is literally nothing but sequins stitched together. Perfect. I also love the slightly cropped silhouette. I wear these on the weekend with ballet flats and casual long tees for a sort of glammy take on the classic "Funny Face" look, and for night they've been my party dress alternative all holiday season. Love them, love them, can't get enough of them.
Sisal bouclé babydoll coat: Zara, a gift from my boyfriend.
Cowl-neck tunic sweater: $30, H&M.
Black fringe scarf: $18, Urban Outfitters.
Oversized sunglasses: Chloé, $75, Loehmann's.
Gunmetal sequined leggings: Akira Black Label, $40, Akira Chicago.
Black suedette platforms: Michael Antonio, $40, Endless.
Black faceted stud earrings: $12, Express.
Happy holidays to all my readers -- I love you guys! See you next year!
