In Prada's otherworldly animated ad campaign "Trembled Blossoms," an alien-esque wood nymph (or is she a wood nymph-esque alien?) drifts to the sounds of Cocorosie through a fantasy forest where beetles morph into a pair of extravagant, fanciful heels and a brilliant koi fish becomes an equally brilliant handbag. These sunglasses appear first as a butterfly -- quanto addato! -- before alighting on the nose of our vaguely extraterrestrial heroine.
Rarely does a pair of sunglasses inspire me to start saving my pennies, but for these ones, I'll try. I love a huge frame as it is, and the graceful shape of this pair is so unexpected. I love the impractical pale lilac, but they also come in black, ivory, and tortioiseshell. At a bit shy of $350, these sunglasses will probably be unavailable by the time I've saved enough for them, but that doesn't mean I won't try.

Here they are in black and tortoiseshell as well.

What do you think of these ads? Have you recently come across an item that you would go on a ramen diet to afford?

Those are positively DROOL-worthy! I could completely understand why you'd covet them. You could so rock them, too. :)
The only item I ever went (almost literally) on a ramen diet for was my wedding dress. I only found one that I was head-over-heels in love with, only it was $3,000. I found it used for a MUCH, MUCH lower cost, but it was still the most expensive thing I have ever bought. *gulp*
For a wedding dress, though, that's cheap -- and worth it! It's only the most important (and most photographed!) fashion moment of your entire life!
Prada eye wear is so worth it. I love them to shreds.
Thanks for the comment on my blog. By all means feel free to place a link to it if you so wish.
The more the merrier.

This was curious. I was looking for a picture of this one's for a post I was creating for my blog, when I discovered your's. Here in Portugal we have a huge store that sells super cheap things and the pourpose of my post was to show where to buy similar sunglasses for a nicer price lol. It's obvious that the label make's the difference, but in the meanwhile, while saving for them or 'waitin round 2 be a millionare', why not undercover it?
Sorry if there's any misspelling.
Liked your blog very much. :)
