Make Like: Ted Nugent

You may not agree with his politics or his pastimes, but when it comes to personal style, you have to hand it to the Nuge: in his heyday, he had a look worth emulating. Tiny loincloths, massive feathered headdresses, and fringe to the floor might not be the most practical everyday accessories, but I've compiled a collection of Ted-inspired looks that are sure to give you cat scratch fever.

.) A full-on Indian headdress would probably get in the way of your partying, but weekend warriors can channel the same spirit with feathered earrings like these ones from Urban Outfitters.

.) This denim jumper from Forever 21 puts a girly spin on a manly style.

.) You don't have to hunt wild animals to wear them. No white tigers were harmed in the making of this Kenneth Jay Lane ring.

.) Ted made cultural appropriation look good. Get into the spirit with fringed Minnetonka moccasin boots.

.) The Nuge wouldn't drop a load of cash on hair products, but something is keeping that insane mane shiny and gorgeous -- maybe Mane 'N Tail shampoo and a Frederic Fekkai travel hairbrush?

.) There's no more Nugent-worthy way to take the edge off than with a handmade peace pipe.

.) A skimpy bathing suit fit for any damn Yankee, from Go Jane.

.) If Ted were a lady, he might lug his ammunition around in a suede fringed purse like this one from FringePurses.com.

.) Nugent gets his healthy glow from traipsing around in the great outdoors all day, but you can fake it with Brush-On Bronze Beads from the Body Shop.

.) It rarely gets more rock 'n roll than a denim vest (this one is from F21) -- shirt underneath optional.

.) Turquoise earrings from Urban Outfitters give you a little spirit of the wild.

.) Would Ted Nugent wear a t-shirt with his own name on it? My guess is absolutely.

.) If there's no trading post in your neck of the woods, scour Ebay for a patriotic belt buckle like this sterling silver beauty.

.) White jeans might get dirty while you're out painting the town red, but that just makes them more rock 'n roll.

.) Classic Minnetonka Thunderbirds inject just the right amount of native flavor -- no loincloth necessary.
